Sam Heughan jokes Taylor Swift will leave Travis Kelce for HIM (2024)

Sam Heughan joked that he believes Taylor Swift will leave boyfriend, Travis Kelce, once she spots him in the crowd during her upcoming Eras Tour concerts in Scotland.

The Outlander actor, 44 - whosigned up for celebrity dating app Raya in a bid to find love a few months earlier in April - humorously shared the prediction in a video uploaded to his Instagram page on Wednesday.

The star could be seen on set of the hit Starz series while dressed as his character, Jamie Fraser.

'We're gonna go see Taylor Swift play in Scotland, and I think most of the cast is going,' he explained.

'She obviously doesn't know this, but when she comes to Scotland and she sees me in the audience, she's gonna forget all about...him,' Heughan emphasized, subtly referencing to the Kansas City Chiefs tight end.

'And fall for a man with a ginger wig,' he playfully added, pointing to the wig that he had donned while filming Outlander. 'How could she resist?'

'You know, she's gonna shake him off. And take me out instead. I'm really excited,' Sam added, while making a heart sign with his hands to conclude the reel.

In the caption of the actor's latest post, Heughan typed out, 'Welcome to Scotland Taylor! JAMMF is a Swiftie.'

Throughout the course of the clip, Swift's track titled, ...Ready For It?, could be heard playing in the background.

Social media users jumped to the comment section to share their thought on Sam's humorous prediction, with one penning, 'Bahahahaha!!!! I'm from KC and I'd still take you over Kelce.'

'When I saw her schedule, I knew Sam and Sophie would SO BE THERE!!! Enjoy!' one fan wrote, referencing to Heughan's fellow co-star, Sophie Skelton.

'Shoot your shot, Sam!' another added, with one typing, 'LOL seeing Jamie Fraser talk about Taylor Swift had me all confused for a second!'

One follower shared, 'outlander x taylor swift… my worlds collided,' while another excitedly wrote, 'SASSENACH SWIFTIES—ARE WE OK?!'

Heughan has previously revealed that he is a fan of the Grammy winner, and back in 2017, suggested that Taylor take on a role in Outlander.

During an interview with Access Hollywood, he discussed some celebrities that he would like to see guest star in the series.

'Beyonce, maybe. I think Beyonce would look really good in it. Maybe Ed Sheeran wants to come out. He's ginger, so, he'd do very well in our show.'

The Love Again star added, 'You know, I'm up for it. I think we can get a lot of...Taylor Swift, obviously as well. You know, all these people. I think they'd fit in very well.'

The Bad Blood hitmaker - who recently defended Lady Gaga over pregnancy speculation - is set to perform three concerts in Edinburgh beginning on Friday, June 7.

She will then make more stops throughout the U.K. in cities such as Liverpool, Cardiff and also London - beforeheading to other European cities.

The global tour - which kicked off last year in March - is slated to conclude later this year on December 8 in Vancouver shortly before the Christmas holiday.

In early May, the Grammy winner's boyfriend Travis Kelce supported the singer during her Eras Tour stop in Paris - with the NFL player being joined by Gigi Hadid and boyfriend Bradley Cooper.

The couple were first publicly linked when she attended a Kansas City Chiefs game last year in September.

Patrick Regan - Kelce's close friend and barber - gave a recent update on the lovebirds during an appearance on the Your Day Off podcast.

At one point, he was questioned when Taylor and Travis's wedding will take place, and in response, stated, 'Hopefully soon. That would be fun.'

Elsewhere in the episode, Regan said,'It's kind of cool to see because I know her as a person. She's very interested in what you're saying. She doesn't act like the most famous celebrity in the world.'

'She's a very nice person, and she's a good girlfriend to my friend so it's pretty cool, it doesn't seem too crazy to me.'

He later added that he is 'happy' for the NFL star and 'the stardom that he's getting,' while adding that Kelce is simply a 'normal guy.'

Last weekend, Swift stepped onto the stage for her two-night Eras Tour stop in Lyon, France. On Saturday, the singerbrushed aside the rainy weather and briefly paused the concert to help a fan in the crowd.

At one point during the weekend concert, Swift could be seen sitting at a piano but halted the performance when she noticed that someone near the stage appeared to be in need of assistance.

In a video obtained by TMZ that was taken by a concertgoer, Taylor said into the microphone: 'Do you need help? Yeah?' and then asks security to approach the fan followed by a polite 'S'il Vous Plaît.'

She extended her arm out to point in the direction where the fan was located, and then added in English, 'Thank you. Can we get someone to go to the right at the front?'

After assistance was given to the Swiftie in the crowded stadium, Taylor proceeded to continue the concert.

The Grammy winner donned various costumes during her sets, including a fitted, bejeweled Atelier Versace bodysuit that was decked out with gold and blue rhinestones that sparkled under the bright stage lights.

Amid her Lover set, Swift took time to give a special out to commemorate Pride Month as she sang the track, You Need To Calm Down, per Us Weekly.

In a now-viral clip that was uploaded to X, the star could be seen singing on stage and in between lyrics, she quickly called out, 'Happy Pride Month Lyon!'

The audience erupted into cheers and applause as she jumped back into the chorus of the tune.
