Yesterday’s comments of note

A few of the comments that stood out to us yesterday:

“Who’d have guessed the first so-called crossover vehicle was actually built in the 1980s by American Motors. Mature 4WD technology borrowed from Jeep, with a very handsome interior and decent clean body lines for the era. Gran Touring wagon meets rugged trail boss. Ahead of its time and the market by a good 30 years. This example would make a very comfortable winter ski safari hauler, overland road rally contender or Zombie Apocalypse escape ship. GLWTA, and congrats in advance to the new…”

18 Binder59 commented on No Reserve: 1985 AMC Eagle Limited Wagon

“Well, this is just about the most appropriate thing I have read on BAT:

“Displayed at the Nissan booth at the Miami Grand Prix in March 1986.”

If any car says 1980’s in a place that personified the 1980’s, it is this car and Miami.”

12 Mike_Breinin commented on Modified 39k-Mile 1984 Nissan 300ZX Turbo 5-Speed

“OMG this car is near perfect. Hemi, 4-speed. Torq Thurst-like wheels, Lakewood traction bars, racing stickers on the rear quarter windows, no vinyl top. Don’t get much better than this. Looking forward to the video. GLWS”
